
Dear teacher
The School of Psychology, with the approval of the Dean, in accordance with the Ethics Committee Policy Document approved by the Faculty Council (23-06-2022), calls for non face-to-face elections for members of the Ethics Committee for the period 2024-2027.
In accordance with the provisions of the Normative Document, regarding the teachers who are members of the Ethics Committee:
- Members. The Committee shall consist of seven (7) regular members. These members shall occupy the positions of President, Vice-President, Secretary and regular members. Teachers and students1 of our community shall be represented in the Committee, with a distribution of five and two members respectively. The Committee shall have one alternate member for teachers and one alternate member for students. The alternate members shall take office when for any reason the corresponding regular member ceases to hold office.
- Requirements. All active regular professors may be candidates, that is, those who have a subject under their responsibility during the semester in which they are applying or who have done so during the immediately preceding semester, who meet the legal requirements for the practice of the profession (licensed, collegiate, authorized) and who have not had or have had any disciplinary sanction by the university.
- The positions of president and vice-president shall be filled by the faculty members who have received the highest number of votes among all the candidates.
- Term of office. The members of the Committee shall be elected for a term of three years in the case of teachers and one year for students. Committee members may be re-elected.
Therefore, the corresponding calendar is hereby communicated:
- Online candidate registration: until Friday, October 20, 2023 via forms.
- Review of requirements of registered candidates, Monday, October 23, 2023.
- Dissemination of the list of candidates: from October 24 to November 07, 2023 through the channels of the Faculty and the Ethics Committee (e-mail accounts and social networks).
- Non-presential elections through the link that will be sent to the e-mails from the Academic Secretary's Office on Wednesday, November 8th.
Since it is necessary to meet the legal requirements for the practice of the profession (licensed, registered, authorized) to be a member of the Ethics Committee, professors who register as candidates and need to update their authorization status will have until October 20 to do so.
This is the list of teachers eligible to stand as candidates in and the list of teachers who will participate in the elections.
